1. Update to collecting MM/YYYY of birth instead of age. The MyFriendBen team has updated the household block questions to ask for month and year of birth instead of age. This change allows the team to more accurately calculate age for users, particularly for benefits that may have specific cut-offs for eligibility based on month. Age will still be a calculated field on our backend, and users will still see the field in the household member cards and on the confirmation page.
2. Additional Expenses added to the dropdown menu. Based on user feedback, we have added the following items to the expense dropdown: Property Taxes, Homeowners or Condo Association Fees & Dues, and Homeowners Insurance. These expenses are included in shelter costs sent to PolicyEngine for purposes of calculating SNAP.
3. Bug Fix: TANF Values. The MFB team has fixed an issue where TANF value calculations were being over-estimated.
4. Step 2 Refactor. Step 2 has been refactored to adhere to the new data validation library.
