MyFriendBen is dedicated to empowering individuals and organizations by making it easy to understand and access government benefits, tax credits and nonprofit programs.
MyFriendBen is an open-source tool incubated at Gary Community Ventures, a philanthropic organization that combines the power of business, policy and philanthropy to increase opportunity for Colorado kids and families. MyFriendBen was co-designed with a group of Colorado families who told us how difficult and time-consuming it was to figure out what benefits they were eligible to receive. MyFriendBen is our work together to make the process easier.
MyFriendBen is supported by a team of developers, project managers, advocates and all around friendly folks at Gary Community Ventures.

MyFriendBen National
MyFriendBen’s Colorado team is leading an effort to bring Ben to families across the country. We are currently exploring partnerships with government agencies and nonprofits interested in customizing MyFriendBen for their communities.
We also believe that information and innovation should be available to everyone, which is why the code that powers MyFriendBen has always been open source.
